This is my ex. Seriously. She told me that, as a child, she used to go to the tree and unwrap her presents and then re-wrap them so there’d be no surprises. We had our first Christmas together at my parent’s house, so she COULDN’T find out what the gifts were. It damn near killed her.
At least Gracie doesn’t have her mother emailing, texting and calling her giving her hints, hoping she’ll guess. If I do guess and get it right, “Well you’ll just have to wait to find out won’t you.” I shut the phone off and never checked my email yesterday.
I don’ put out the gifts until after my children go to sleep on Christmas Eve. My children stopped trying to find the gifts after I told them that if they found something, they wouldn’t receive it.
