When I worked in a liquor store, by law we had to have everyone out of the store by 10:00 PM, so we stopped letting folks in five minutes before. Lots of unhappy people were refused entry (and their booze) in those last five minutes.

sorry, people, but if you want customers out by 10pm, you set your closing time at 9:30, not allow any more customers in after that time.
