Baldo by Hector D. Cantú and Carlos Castellanos for May 15, 2015
Transcript:
Baldo: I don't get it! You order me to do one thing... Baldo: Then you do the exact opposite! Baldo: That's hypocritical! Dad: Baldo, hypocrisy is part of good parenting! Dad: A trait to be admired! Baldo: I thought we were talking about sincerity and truthfulness... Balod: Not spin control. Dad: There's nothing wrong with spin control, as long as I'm doing it!

Baldo would have a much stronger case if he weren’t arguing with the family’s primary provider. What Sergio happens to be doing now does not represent his entire day.

Baldo, your Dad earned his ‘stripes’ a long time ago. You’re still lower than ‘buck private’ with a lot to learn. Washing the dishes as a ‘get out of jail’ card was a way of earning your ‘release’. Be happy you were given the opportunity.
