So, he DOES know who Mei Kusakabe is, and he knows which movie she’s from. What does Stella care if he thinks it’s a guy movie? If they both like it, that’s a win.

I’m guessing his thumbs and his smart phone have been busy since yesterday.

The more apt analogy would be that if he has to know who Mei Kusakabe is, then she has to know what kind of fuel injector is in a Shelby Cobra or Ford GT40.(And I thought Baldo’s dream 1964 Impala SS or whatever was from the carburetor era, anyway.)

If you want an anime that they can both identify with, let them watch Ramna 1/2. After all, sometimes the protagonist is a boy and sometimes a girl and sometimes the father is a giant panda.

They’re a cute couple …. Studio Ghibli and Disney for them and their kids.
