Clickbaits are one of the worst things that have ever happened to the internet. I’m truly hoping we’ll see their end in the near future.

If no one in the house likes lengua casserole, why on earth do they keep eating it and why does she keep cooking it?

Lengua is not one of my favorite foods, for sure. I am, however, curious to know what else is in Tía Carmen’s lengua casserole.

Who will speak in behalf of the cattle?

Why waste good beef tongue in a casserole? sliced thin, on good seeded rye bread a smear of horseradish and a dash of stone ground mustard, it is the perfect sandwich meat ranking just below corned beef and pastrami.

My mom, italian-american who grew up in the Great Depression, used to serve us beef tongue; my least favorite food, followed closely by brains and kidneys. I survived.
