My buddy and I did this at that age. We got on our bikes and we PLANNED to go somewhere and then it just turned into a fun ride to we don’t care where. I miss those days…
Note that the seats on both bikes are too low for proper leg extension. as adults this can and will cause arthritic changes in feet, ankles and knees. BTDT!!
In many cities, riding a bicycle on the sidewalk is illegal. I know from first-hand experience back in 1975. A policeman stopped me for it. (I only got a warning.)

As a former kid, I agree with them. As a mom, I wish they had helmets.

My brother and I did that once.
We found ourselves 10 miles from home and totally Exhausted.
We still had to pedal all the way back.

We as kids used to bike over 5 miles because of a nickel pop machine.
