I guess «El Sueño de Baldo» (or even Portuguese «O Sonho de Baldo») wouldn’t fit? The Japanese バルドの夢 (Barudo no Yume) would be too complex… specially the character for “dream.”

My Lord, Baldo, you’re missing your calling! You’ll get swamped by your car club!!

I’m predicting this car will be towed to his first house and second house until he has children. Then he’ll sell it without ever driving it and only getting pennies on the dollar of what he has invested in it.

If Baldo can translate his concept into proof he has a career

This was his number one priority for restoring the car… Apparently he starts at the lowest priority and works up. Number two will be chroming the lug nuts. You got to work up to things like a motor that works or a complete body. Some people start at the top and work down.

Making that car hood is a pipe dream.

Going to need a bigger dream than that……

Baldo, that’s a BEAUTIFUL job of calligraphy! Congratulation on mastering a difficult art!

Maybe. But his chances of cost recovery are higher his way.

So start buying tools to do custom painting. Paint your car as it sits, and prop a sign against it advertising your work. Every job you get will help restore your own car, and you’ll get really good at bodywork.

Baldo is starting with baby steps, but at least he is moving forward.
