I learned how to back a boat trailer in a 57 Chevy. I learned to drive in a 53.

At a friend’s house. Next door was getting sided. He says come over there with me. Old truck in the driveway, he pops the hood. OMG! It was a 50s truck and you could see the engine and it was unencumbered with 100s of hoses and the like. It looked so small.

Mine’s a 1957, a Pontiac 4 door hardtop Star Chief. But at our current stage it’s more like an archeological dig than a museum. ;-)
