Hispanic comic using Spanish language as a punchline.

“Me-dia” sounds like “Mi Dia.” Took me a bit since I don’t speak Spanish but a good one.

It’s all in the accent.

I know that Baldo is pretty bad at Spanish (except for food related words). How well does Gracie know Spanish?

Mi dia suits Tia Carmen!

The pun works in English/Spanish but in reality, the term for social media like Facebook, Whatsapp, etc. in Spanish where I live is Red.

I’m pretty sure there was a week of strips about Carmen’s “Social Mi Dia” at one point.

But for some it is “Mi día.”

How did the Gracie character suddenly get tall enough to stand at the table like that? The way she’s normally drawn, as standing, her head would be below the top of the table. Kinda like the magical Impala that comes and goes in the driveway

I dunno, for a lot of people, social media is all about “mi dia”!
