Morning everyone. Dry, it feels like

FALL.

I went for a swim yesterday and thought that the lake felt a couple of degrees cooler. When I checked the temperature it had actually dropped 7 degrees.

Thank you, Cleo! I had to go to the store and get a couple of things first. NOW, I can take that toon tour while i enjoy my tasty crepe.

I am coughing and sneezing up a storm. I must be allergic to dust again! Rats! Getting things together and tossing, etc. Apparently some of the stuff was sitting around longer than I thought.

It has been a busy day for me, pulling weeds on our bank, doing laundry, mowing, edging and putting away dishes. I have only sat down for a few minutes all day.

I did go for a swim after getting splattered by mud when I slid into a ditch while pulling weeds.

Where are all you locos ochos?

I am here Cleo! My hands are done burning. Can’t work with gloves on, but my frist round of peppers are done, Habanaros, Hungarian Hot Wax, some sweet red peppers, tomato paste, garlic, olive oil and onions. Froze some and put some in the fridge for sandwiches and such.

Cleo, were you nekkid when you slid into the ditch? Hee hee, I said “nekkid.”

How did you slid into a ditch? You haven’t had any rain have you, to make it a “slippery slope”?

No, I wasn’t naked, as I was on the street in front of our house. I was pulling weeds on our bank and the ditch had enough water in it that I had to straddle it to get to the weeds, my muck boot slipped on the grass and I fell. My Muck boots are slip on shoes and they are the best invention for gardeners, slip into them, hands free and they are so comfortable. They are expensive, for garden shoes, but so worth it. I couldn’t be happier with a purchase.

Cleo, maybe your Muck boots need some cleats on them.

I am familiar with those boots but never bought them. AND I DIDN”T SAY you were “NEKKED”, frankly the thought never entered my mind! LOL!

I saw them advertised in my LLBean catalog, but at the time they were quite expensive, for me anywho, I just wear my old sneakers or boat shoes that have passed their prime for “good” wear. Lately though, I go out there in my bare feet. That’s another thing I shall miss, running around barefoot!

I HATE WINTER!

Dry, I asked Cleo if he was nekkid. When I used to mow the back yard, I had trouble keeping my footing when mowing by the swamp. The ground would be a little wet and my sneakers had no traction.

Bet after all this time, you guys didn’t know that, did ya’? :-D

Oh I MISSED THAT POST!! LOL! Don’t think it was there when I made my post.

Don’t go barefoot! I got so many ouchies from doing that. I stepped on a bee 2 different times in the exact same spot. Of course, I smashed bee #1, but apparently his doofus friend had to park itself in the same place.

I don’t know why the water was in our ditch, but it was deep. My Muck boots are actually slip on rubber shoes and I was afraid that I would get water inside if I didn’t straddle the ditch. Dry I thought that they were expensive too, but they are easy to put on, waterproof and have become a favorite of mine, I wouldn’t wear anything else when working in the garden.

Of course I don’t wear anything else when working in the garden, but you know what I mean.

So you were nekkid!

Cleo “I’ll consider that!” As Spock would say! I like comfortable shoes, and as far as wearing anything else in the garden, I would expect nothing less! :-D Get it, “Nothing less?”

Carmy I think about that, but not much. That is one of the freedoms of summer, walking around barefoot! Now in winter with that BLASTED ICE AND SNOW on the ground, not so much!

Yeah, nothing better than tiptoeing through the venomous snakes barefoot! A real favorite of mine!

JFri Venomous? Garter and black snakes?

Granted though, I wouldn’t want to step on one!

You don’t have rattlesnakes and copperheads where you live?

Not in the immediate area, no. At my dad’s place, copperheads, don’t run barefoot out there. Rattlesnakes in the mountains.

Ah. We have no venomous snakes in our neck of the woods. Travel about 150 miles and you can find all the rattlesnakes you want but we have no other poisonous snakes for several states around us.

Really? I thought the mountains of CA had rattlesnakes.

We have all sorts of snakes. Usually I see garter snakes, but we did have a big black snake in our backyard once. I’ve seen the black snakes swimming in the swamp.

Blacksnakes are good snakes. They eat rodents and such that prowl about, don’t know if they eat bugs or not. I like them.

Dry, i didn’t say we didn’t have them in our state, just not this side of the mountains. In fact, I said they were only about 150 miles away.

Carmy, are you sure those aren’t cottonmouths/water moccasins?

JFri, no, I’m not sure. All I know is that we steer clear of them. I haven’t seen any lately.

Yes, I should have remembered that! But I SHOULD BE forgiven, I am only reading with one eye open at the moment! My hands have stopped burning, but I forgot the primal rule, and rubbed my eye! ROFLMAO!!!

Where is Nekked Man with his Muck boots? Cripes Cleo I have to work tmr. and can’t stay up much longer, MISTER!
