Is the weather a safe topic?
It’s cloudy here, but the mountains are really starting to look so pretty. I’ll have to see about taking some pictures for you guys so I can email them.
Dry, the difference between this comic and Big Top is that Big Top is a discontinued strip and is in re-runs.
And while there is nothing in the user agreement about menus being specifically banned, it is in there that comments can be removed at our discretion. Users can also be banned at our discretion.

Yes we do make comments on the strip itself. Of course, most times I need google translate, but that’s okay, because more of my spanish is coming back to me after all these years! LOL!
Looking out my window at the colors on the hills around us has gotten pretty color wise as well. Here we call them hills but back east they would be considered mountains. :-)
Yeah its hard to come with something new every day! Now you know why at my house, it’s “EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!” LOL!
Only ones who get breakfast served are my pets!
Dry, I’ve adopted the “Every man for himself” motto too. No one likes it, except me. Thems the breaks!!
Cleo, you hadn’t seen that before? That was so hilarious and I’m talking about the whole episode. I did the whole Seinfeld series through Netflix. I LMBO a lot, even though I had already seen some of the episodes.
Watched that show for years, but never saw the final episode until about a year or two after it ended! I still haven’t seen the last Frazier, and I loved that show!
I probably have seen it because I watched most every episode when it was on TV. Seinfeld is one of those shows that I loved, but have no desire to see over again. Whereas MASH and Andy Griffith I can watch multiple times.
Me too Cleo! But just the black and white Andy’s when Barney was still in it. When DOn Knotts left, the show lost a lot of it’s magic. And I love MASH too, but the earlier ones there again were the best. And I don’t care for Seinfeld anymore either, except a few of them, but the funny clips are still worth a watch.
And I used to love the old black and white westerns! Now I could care less there too. Funny how tastes change!
I only watched the ones with Barney as well. Hello JFri, yes I see your point.
Not a menu here, but I am making a slow-cooked pork stew with polenta for dinner tonight so I was busy chopping and browning pork and veggies. It cooks for 2 1/2 hours, so I had to get started early.
We are still awaiting faucets, which is holding up our bathroom remodel. You find great prices on the internet, but sometimes you wonder if it is worth it.
Hey Cleo! Yes the internet can be a great place UNTIL you have to return something! Unless it’s LLBean! They are GREAT I must say! Always, always been pleased with their service!
That meal sounds good, Cleo, and I haven’t eaten yet! Got an extra table setting?
I love to chop vegetables, when I make a salad, everyone wonders why it takes so long! Well, DUH??? I don’t use precut things, for one thing they cost too much! I do use bagged lettuces, that are pre-washed, not always, but a lot. Esp. in winter.
Our faucets were supposedly mailed last Monday according to the company that we ordered them from online. They said that they would be here no later than tomorrow. I called the shippers and they said that they picked the order up today. I am pulling what little hair I have left out.
Yes, and I hope when they arrive, that they fit and are what you want!
Never thought of it that way before, but I guess I find the same thing when I chop and dice! :-)
When I first was trying to pickle peppers according to your recipe Dry we could not find Hungarian hot peppers, so LilG bought a bunch of banana peppers, but a couple of days later found Hungarian Hot peppers which I used, so we have all of these banana peppers left. I am going to do a dinner tomorrow where I stuff them and have them for dinner tomorrow, but I will still have a number leftover that I have to find some use for.
Cleo you can cook them up in oil and garlic and use for sandwiches or a side condiment.
You can cook them up in tomato paste, garlic, onions and olive oil and freeze them and use at your leisure, again with sandwiches or a condiment with meat.
You can also broil them until the skins turn black, place in a brown paper bag for about 20 minutes, peel off the skin, and mix them in an Italian dressing or again olive oil and garlic.
Each recipe gives a different taste to the peppers and I love them all. You can also just clean them, cut off the tops, seed them or not, and freeze them in airtight containers and use for cooking.
Sometimes I just make a sandwich with them, however I have decided to cook them up. Sometimes with mayo and cheese, or just as is. Especially good on pumpernickel or rye bread!
I hope Cleo tries my recipes for his leftover hot peppers! It would be a shame to let all those lovely things go to waste! I think hot peppers is one of my favorite foods!
That and frozen YOGURT! :-P
I like spicy foods, but not burn your tongue off hot.
Daughter #3 sort of looked like Gracie when she was about that age. The same daughter has been in gifted classes since 2nd grade. I think her last IQ score was 145
Dry, I’m thinking scholarship too.
Hi Shika! Thank you. Daughter #3 seems to be a very logical young lady. Her only flaw, a real quick temper.
Enjoy your movie, Cleo!
Hey JFirstein, my temper is not THAT bad. Love the avatar and name, you sure are a handsome fellow.
Shika, no, she can’t have her own machete until she is 21.

I got a kick out of George Castanza Dry. In reference to wet swimsuits.

I watched MASH, but I really didn’t like it too much. I loved Andy Griffith, Floyd and Barney were my favorites on that show.

LilG likes to use a Pampered Chef chopper for chopping, but I find zen in hand chopping and also would never buy prechopped unless it was on markdown.
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Also the chopper is tough to wash.
