I went out with friends for crepes this morning. I feel the need for a long walk to fight off sleepiness. I sleep too much when I shouldn’t and not enough when I should.

50 degrees here. I meant to be on here most of this afternoon because it has been raining all day, but I FINALLY tackled my kitchen table and counter and cleared off all the paperwork, magazines, etc. Of course, in a few days time, it will look the same as it did before I started! LOL!

I’m ready for the garlic bread and salad Dry. How much pasta do you want? I use rice pasta, as I am trying to cut out gluten. I can’t tell the difference, except the price.

Shika we have a chain f stores down in some of the states called Trader Joe’s. All of there products are made with decent ingredients and are priced fairly. Their rice pasta is only maybe thirty cents more a pound then semolina, as is their whole wheat.

I can remember when I was a kid, my Great Aunt Catherine would make spaghetti from scratch! She would work on it all day Saturday, She would mix up the dough, then put a clean tablecloth on her dining room table and lay the pasta out on it, roll it out, then roll it into a roll, slice it into spaghetti slices while the sauce was simmering all day. Then on Sunday, she would make the meatballs, fried chicken, fried hot peppers with garlic and onions, and various other side dishes, including homemade bread! Gawd, I miss her meals! She was a Mail Order Bride from Italy, learned to speak English, but never learned to read it. She was SUCH A SWEET, SWEET LADY! Went to Mass EVERY DAY AT 7 AM, raised her 5 kids and one by one, took my mom, sisters and brother out of the orphange and took them in too. Sorry, I didn’t mean to get maudline here, but it isn’t really. I have GREAT memories of that time in my life!

Dry you will love Trader Joe’s. If it does come your way and you like chicken, try their Empire brand kosher chicken. Ot is better than free range, regular or any other chicken. Lots of flavor!

Oh cleo LOL! EMPIRE KOSHER chicken! You mean they have spread that far?! We have a plant VERY close to here! When I was in banking, I used to have the Rabbi’s as my customers. There were about 4 or 5 that would come down here, stay for about 6 weeks from NYC, they lived in a trailor. They would bless the chickens before they cut the heads off. I want to tell you, these Rabbi’s were the FILTHIEST, DIRTIEST, people, I have ever met! They came into the bank with their work clothes which were COVERED in chicken blood, they reaked of odors! I had to go there to their trailer one day to get a second sigature on their check before the bank could honor the check, THAT PLACE WAS A PIG STY, and I hate to insult the pigs! Even my Jewish friends found them to be disgusting! I haven’t bought an Empire Kosher chicken since I worked in the bank!

SORRY SWEETIE! But it is what if is! I was so shocked!

And with that, I will leave you with nightmares of Rabbi’s in white aprons with, oh never mind! YOU HAVE TO SEE IT FIRST HAND!

    Goodnight Nekkid Man!
