Gene and Mrs. Nimmers do seem to be involved in some sort of contretemps….

but honestly, Gene…. that’s no way to act and you know it.

I understand that her politics make you crazy, and that was probably what made you momentarily lose control….

 

But she’s one of Alice’s oldest friends (in both senses of the word), even though they agree to disagree…..

and we all try hard not to let the conversation turn political during these evening soirees.

 

What do you say, Gene?

Will it calm down now?

Should we stay here?

It’s puzzle night!

 

Meanwhile, Gene does look a bit shame-faced, as he probably should. We can’t know what Mrs. Nimmers actually said to him to prompt such a retort.

Mrs Nimmers deserved every bit of ham sandwich. She had to ask Gene how he was progressing on writing his book.

Maybe it’s me, but this appears to be one tough puzzle. I will have to address it in the morning with coffee. But who is this woman talking to on her cellphone?

I thought we should all go to the Tiki because we don’t need no Miracle Whip all over the solution to Saturday’s Cleo & Co. puzzle.

OMG! I got all 9 in a very short time! Hooray! This was a fun puzzle. (as always) And Dennis said it was too hard to do last night. I guess that’s because he was waiting for the gang at the Tiki. I think I’ll stop by for some coffee this morning and see if the party is still going on.

I suppose I am back to a bit slow, I thought I was getting good at these Saturday puzzles!!! only 6 today, Oh well, I will go now & have a ham sandwich!

Heading to Nashville next week for a meeting. Anyone live there?
