I don’t know, those fellas don’t look all that good to me. I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw a doghouse.

One wonders what the multi-faceted Scooter is up to. A true “Renaissance Dog”, Scooter could have taken up any of a number of hobbies. Has he cultivated a friendship with like-minded snorkelers? Has he taken up ichthyology? Perhaps a study of the geological history of the creek as revealed by the layered sediments along its banks? Or is he simply hunting varmints that hide along the creek bed?

As for C and C, this is just another classic of the genre. The gangster movie. Always popular, with audiences and actors alike. Three fine male basset specimens strut their stuff and demonstrate the true meaning of “alpha dog.”

StelBel, this is a beaut! Fine renditions of those gangster Basset actors. And Cleo under the bridge, sleeping peacefully. The hoomins really messed it up when they replaced Cleo with a corpse!

Thanks for making the effort to get this one out. I hope things are getting better. We all care for you.

    I’m baack!

Not exactly in fine form yet… I’m on my tablet instead of my computer, so some of the things I usually do are a bit awkward….

But I’m back in time for a brand spanking new poster from Stel!

And if anybody needs spanking, those guys do.

You know, I haven’t seen this film, and I’m not sure whether I could watch it….

It’s a bit violent for my delicate sensibilities.

Seeing that poor basset lyingin the street is enough to horrify me….

If I don’t watch the movie, she’s only sleeping, right?

I didn’t even go see the human copycat version Dennis found…

And I hear that’s quite watered down from the true horrors of canine mayhem.

You can plainly see that those guys are no bassets.

If any newcomers don’t know what we’re discussing…. We come here every night to discuss the new Cleo and Company on Sherpa….

Today’s August 2nd 2018 strip can be found at

Oh… and Liverlips… he might just be enjoying a relaxing dogpaddle.

You know, to escape from all his other dogly duties.

I can just see the gone fishing sign on the dog house.

With a little rework, it could be a poster for The Good, The Bad And The Ugly.

I really like this poster. And the names! Especially Irwin Tinkler and Kristi Shedder. Another winner, Stel!

I always enjoy Stel’s posters! The names are really great! I got a kick out of the production designer: Kristi Shedder. (What else can you decorate the sets with in a basset film?).

    Thanks for the giggles, Stel.
