At least he’s not banging the gavel on his delicate little table…

Aren’t all of the guys in this comic (not just today’s edition–every day) some variation on Lorelei’s dad, or Edward Hermann, or both?

I am so gratified to see that the club members are mostly men. This is precisely the kind of club that a lesser cartoonist would have depicted as consisting of women. It just goes to show you that JvA is no misogynist.

As regards Cleo & Co., I love the shower cap on Claude’s bald dome. The use of the rolled-up magazine is a nice touch too.

Stel and Nighthawks, that is a ROFL animation! Loved it.

Stel and Nighthawks, thank you for not resorting to scenes like today’s movies and showing all of Claude.

Cleo is mad because Claude is only suppose to take a shower on Friday the 13th, not Friday the 12th.

Claude won’t be able to read that newspaper anytime soon.

    Hi everybody…. I’m really late….

In case you’re new here…. we come every day to the 10 years old Ballard Street forum to comment on

“CLEO and COMPANY” …. today, the Oct 12th  2018 strip

Which you can read on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

I can’t tell you too much about the strip…. I’ve watched it 5 times but I had my hands over my eyes.

I did see Claude in his shower cap… I think when you only have two strands left, you must get very protective of them.

I mean… what if they fell out, or got damaged?

    Then he’d be bald.

As for the rolled up newspaper…

that’s what some dogs think is punishment.

But I can’t imagine that Cleo’s ever been hit with one…

She’s been watching too many doggie horror movies on the Basset Channel.

    Before I forget…. we’re meeting at Charles and Edwina’s….

Edwina says she’s made 3 kinds of sandwiches and a coffeecake.

But we’re staying in the kitchen….

    don’t worry, it’s quite comfortable.

Charles doesn’t know us well enough to risk his delicate table collection in the living room.

Edwina asks us please not to take it personally….

if she accidentally trips or drops something, he won’t let her in there for a week.

That’s why she has a nice TV in the kitchen.

Resembles the parody from Mel Brook’s High Anxiety. With the ink running down the drain.

Resembles a scene from Mel Brook’s loving tribute HIgh Anxiety. You left out the ink from the newspaper running down the drain,

Psycho Basset, indeed!!! Love it! I, too wondered about the shower cap. Now that Nighthawks ’splained it, it makes sense.

No one mentioned the Psycho Basset’s bathrobe. Is that to keep her dry? Or has she already had the first shower.
