My inner voice? Oh… didn’t know you saw that.

Um… yeah… it explains a lot of what my outer voice says, I guess….

I’ll be right back with a couple of pies.

Blueberry and apple OK? Oh…. maybe cherry too.

My inner voice can’t complete a sentence. No good with names, either.

Claude, be sure to stick that paper back in your wallet, so you can surprise yourself again.

My inner voice often tells me I want a blueberry pie. Other times, it tells me I want a French Canadian meat pie. Now I wish I didn’t even hear about Susan’s inner voice.

My inner voice never tells me I want a pizza pie. Neither does my wallet.

I’m always finding mysterious scraps of paper in a jacket or jeans pocket, or in my purse…

sometimes a name and a phone number…. but not a name I know… or sometimes just a number, like Claude found…

sometimes in my handwriting, sometimes in what must be the other person’s.

Who the heck is this Julia, who makes a little flower over the “i”…and why do I have her number?

It’s been, at various times in my life, someone who wanted a haircut, or to buy or sell collectibles…. etc…..

People I met at places like flea markets or the fair, where I might not be carrying a better place to write them.

But I don’t do that stuff any more, or go as many places…

Where the heck did I meet Julia?

I’ve chastised myself over and over…. MUST remember to write down the reason, the connection, some bit of info….

But not only do I forget to do that, or obviously think “Surely I’ll remember Julia…"

Now I carry a cell phone that I can add people to, “so I won’t lose your number…”

    Good idea, right?

Dang, there goes that voice again…..

Claude should have asked for the end of the year special. He would have gotten extra pepperoni for free. And just think, only one more day to go till they fix Sherpa. They said they would have it fixed by the end of 2018. They better not have lied. They’ve had two years to fix it. Maybe they couldn’t find a six year old child anywhere.

Look at the bottom of Cleo’s hind feet and compare to this:

, which is an image of a critter track that my recently departed Choctaw Indian hunting and fishing holitopa* drew for me on the bottom of a pine knot many moons ago.

Pizza sounds good, but i’m not going after any.

It’s a lazy afternoon, and wallowing in it.
