Do they send out fishing catalogues in February, like garden catalogues?

Rin-Tin-Tin lives on in Furner Classic Movies.

Clara, get that girl some chips! We all know who is the boss here.

    Hi, everybody ….

    We’re commenting here for

the Feb 24th  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    Read it on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Cleo is getting smarter, all right… but mostly in one particular part of her anatomy.

Maybe Claude can’t see it, cos she’s sitting on it.

Hey, Cleo… Clara isn’t your assistant, and this isn’t craft services.

You may try to play diva on a movie set… not that it doesn’t annoy the whole crew….

but at home with Clara and Claude, you’re the family dog.

Aw, why do I bother… as Dennis says…. Claude and Clara seem fine with it anyway…. even if Clara does look a bit dismayed by those crumbs.

I suppose nobody’s gonna just point at the mess and hand the Dustbuster to a dog who owns an RPG.

More people have been joining us lately….

glad to see Roaming making a few more posts… how about you, Jless?

Good to see you, too, Eldo…. I think the puzzles are easier once you get the hang of it.

I hope Dorothea and Bacon Boy are still coming around, too…. and Deeceewye.

I, too, have been wondering about Val…. hope all is well!

If you’re a lurker here…. or a newbie… and I left you out, sorry…. this is just a quick list off the top of my sleepy head.

Say hello, and we’ll all know you’re here!

Ella invited us to have lunch with her and Randy.

She thinks it’ll cheer him up…. along with the slightly warmer weather, and the sunset moving closer to six o’clock.

Let’s try not to mention stuff like the blizzard in Arizona, OK?

Me, I can’t wait for daylight saving time…

It starts in about a week and ten days. Or two weeks and three days. But who’s counting.

I sympathise with those who hate changing the clocks….so let’s just keep it all year!

    I was just thinking…. ow… that hurts….

If Cleo knows about Rin-Tin-Tin, she had to have seen it less than 60 years ago.

So don’t be too smug, Claude.

Maybe she’s been watching it on BassetTV, and you didn’t even realise you have that channel on your cable system.

I’ve heard they show some of Cleo’s older films, as well.

Also… since everybody seemed to like the marionberry pie, I made three more for today.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Dennis.

Funny coincidence…. Nighthawks just found one online for $69…. but they happen to be the Pie of the Month at Shari’s Cafe and Pie, near me, a whole one for $9.95.

If you’ve never seen a marionberry… they’re actually a special type of Oregon blackberry… with bigger lobes, and a longer shape. They’re sweeter, too.

    A lot like Ollalieberries… of course you’ve seen those…

One major difference is that Ollalieberries have never been the mayor of Washington DC.

Also… some people hate Daylight Time cos they get up at 6am to milk the cows and it’s dark.

But I wish someone would explain to me… really, I’m not being facetious…. why they can’t just switch to 7am, following the light, instead of the clock?

The cows don’t wear watches…. they wouldn’t know it was later.

Wouldn’t they think it was the same time as yesterday when we humans called it six?

    Sigh….

My Favorite Part was the trail of crumbs descending haphazardly from the almost empty bag of chips (you can tell it was a bag of chips because the bag had “chips” conveniently written on the side) that Cleo was holding upside down and indifferently allowing to fall on the split pea green soup-colored carpet almost certainly requiring someone to get the vacuum cleaner (BTW nighthawks, is Cleo frightened of vacuum cleaners?) out of the utility closet to clean up her mess (that is if this cartoon was reality instead of just a cartoon where there is no actual utility closet or vacuum cleaner or chips for that matter).

In the land of comics, if you can see it , then it is real…even if you can’t see it but can think it and draw it , it is real……

it’s an alternative reality, to paraphrase KellyAnn

    or, in plain English, covfefe

The only thing I have to say about Cleo today……….what a brat!!! Of course, she has Clara well trained, with the threat of bringing out her rocket launcher.

Perhaps Cleo feels an affinity for Rin Tin tin precisely because of his aggressive nature. After all, ol’ Rinnie certainly would have used RPG if they were available 60 years ago. She finds in him a kindred spirit.
