Julia, sometimes you got to get down.

Chester is just trying to play with Sherman on Sherman’s terms. He tells everyone, including himself, that this is for Sherm’s benefit because he can easily grasp the game, pardon the pun.

Some dogs love to be out running around in the snow. Then again, some dogs don’t drag everything in that cold wet stuff when there’s only an inch or two of snow on the ground!

I know Cleo’s griping may seem out of character, but I think she is really protesting the cold weather gear placed upon her person. She is saying she would rather freeze to death in an Arctic blizzard than be seen in that outfit.

Julia, maybe if you had a toy in your mouth, you could get off your high horse and enjoy life with your family.

my high horse is STILL too low for me to look down …..but things are looking up

I agree with Farside99 that one of Cleo’s problems with the snow is that she’s mostly mere inches from it, if that.

And sometimes we forget what the world looks like from dog (or even toddler) eye level.

A two foot drift looks manageable, if you’re over five feet tall…. but when your chin is a foot above even bare ground, it’s a towering wave of snow.

 

On the other hand… our little prima donna does love to complain.

I can’t deny it.

 

I can’t picture Claude sitting on the floor with one of Cleo’s toys in his mouth.

Then again, I can’t picture Cleo sitting on the floor with a dog toy in her mouth.

The two of them would be more likely to bond sitting on the couch, sharing an action movie and a bowl of popcorn.

 

No one here seems to think Julia is correct in assessing her own superiority.

I’ll tell you, though…. she can make a fine macaroni and cheese.

Hope you’ll all head on over to their house today to have some… and my homemade tomato soup.

We’ll discuss Cleo, and you can play with Sherman, if you like…

Just don’t get confused by the toys and scritch Chester behind the ears.

Cleo knows that she will be walking through the next ten months of Sherpa winter and then finding out that she will be walking through another twelve months of Sherpa winter without finding her way home to the main page.

Cleo’s sweater outshines anything on the red carpet yesterday.

“CLEO! CLEO! Who are you wearing?”

“PetSmart clearance bin!”

Julia’s high horse has got her head in the clouds.

Cleo’s just embarrassed to be out in that sweater.

Oh the horrors! Admiral Cleo Peary wouldn’t be caught in a blinding blizzard wearing that get up! I’m glad Nighthawks showed us the real Admiral’s gear before we saw Cleo’s.

I’m with you, Cleo. How about you and me in front of a warm fire with a cup of hot chocolate?? ( I know, dogs shouldn’t have chocolate….I couldn’t think of anything else)
