These two panels were very hard to separate because a speech balloon in the bottom panel overlaps a bit into the panel above.
so, when side by side, the cut-off top of it shows on the bottom of the left panel…. I could have painted it out but I didn’t want to alter the puzzle.
It’s only what you might call the mechanics of cutting them apart, and NOT one of the nine differences!
Er… speaking of which…..
Ten.
Um…. pssst…. Nighthawks…..
Ten. There are ten.
I didn’t want to tell…. but if I don’t, people will miss one if they stop looking after nine.
Keep going!
But Cleo, if you’re offering, I’d love a Mai Tai. Thanks.
Meanwhile… I think at least Spike hasn’t destroyed anything structural…
I mean, I’d still be hopping up to check, if I were Chester…
But I see what appears to be a small swath of destruction in his wake…
and my best guess is a hall table that recently held a vase of flowers.
Chester looks so genial and calm….
maybe he knows that already… after all, he’s better acquainted with his own furniture.
If It’s the table I’m thinking of, Maureen won’t be any too happy, though.
I only got 8. Going to breakfast this morning, so I don’t have time to dilly-dally. Last day of new Ballard Streets ~ so sad. Why does Claude always think he can tell Cleo what he can and can’t do??
I always do the puzzle before I read all the comments. Now I see Susan’s comment about there being 10 (count them, 10) differences! Well, since Nighthawks (he who can’t count) called it 9, I’m declaring it a win. Harrumph!
I got somewhere between eight and ten. When things start moving about I always have trouble deciding which ones moved and which ones stayed put. (Einstein would have loved it!)

Why, in the dinning room, of course.

She loves it.
My guess is Chester doesn’t.

Chester always hated that table.

Before we fade in to the sunset, I’d better post the solution to today’s Cleo & Co. puzzle.

I just realised that while most of us posting here also read the current Ballard Street,
a few of you might not.
So just in case anybody doesn’t know… Jerry Van Amerongen is retiring….
He said March 31st in interviews, but since that’s a Sunday, today is his last brand new strip…
and a perfect goodbye, I think….

Yay, Scooter!
If you want to read the comments there without losing this page,
just right-click the double arrow underneath the strip, on the right, and select “Open in a new window.”
He has said that the strip will go into reruns…
I’m thinking they’ll probably start right away, on Monday,
but even if they don’t, a short wait on the main page shouldn’t affect the archives, or access to them…
or therefore, our cozy present and future home, 10 years deep inside them.
After all, GoComics continues to host a bunch of strips that haven’t been updated in years…
But if you usually come here by way of the current strip, it wouldn’t hurt to bookmark today’s forum,
or maybe the one for Monday, April 1st, 2009, just to make sure.
If you have a Cleo comment still visible in your profile, you can, of course, just click that….
that’s how I usually arrive.
And here in the archive, we have a Sunday strip…. so in any case, see you tomorrow!

Darn! I got 8 (Some people are saying there are 10 diffs. For my happiness, I’m going to ignore that). My last shot kissed the rim but didn’t go in!

Got nine in five minutes. Number 10 is, thus far, eluding me.

Cleo must be channeling the late Payne Stewart with those pants. But I love the pink golf shoes!
