Wouldn’t that be the right hemisphere doing that?

Try to explain that to Mrs Higgenpooter, who is very particular about her boundary hedge!

Always a glorious poster, Stel. Howling in the rain is so superior to just singing, isn’t it?

First things first. This business of not (re-)posting a new Ballard Street every day is highly distressing. It demands a riposte!

Now, as to Cleo & Company’s new/old movie poster: beautiful work, Stel. I just close my eyes, and I can hear Gene Kellydog’s rendition of the title song. What bliss!

    Hi, everybody!

    I’m baaaack…..

    Well, ok…. um… you didn’t? …. oh….

    Anyway… here we are again….

posting comments on one of my favorite posters by Stelbel….

in the May 2nd  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

It’s right there on on Sherpa…

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

    Yay…. “Howlin’ in the Rain”!

I love that movie… I mean, what’s not to love, anyway?

Debbie “Good Girl” Rayhounds at her cutest, still puppyish, best….

The agile, paw-snapping, howling and dancing antics of Donald O’Basset…

And best of all,the incredible, unforgettable dancing of Gene Kellydog…. my favorite movie dancer.

Who could forget those scenes of them actually howling in the rain?

You know… humans remade this film….

but, though I am, of course, a human …. yes I am, Stel! …..

I think humans are simply incapable of being as engaging and adorable as basset hounds.

    Look:

I’ve seen this movie dozens of times….

and I found the cutest little souvenir.

    You have to see this:

Oooh…. I just talked to the manager of the BassetPlexII, and told him we’re Cleo fans who’d all love to see this revival….

This time, he couldn’t give us free tickets cos it’s a short run……

But he said if we can go this afternoon at 3:12pm, we can get in for the puppy price…. $1.65…

and he’ll give us free hot dogs and kibblecorn.

    Who’s coming with me?

As for Lyle…. and the ten year old comments…. left brained is left brained….

no matter which hemisphere controls which side of the body.

If being left-brained makes him go left…. his left brain hemisphere is (theoretically) making him do it….

and yes…. by controlling the right side of his body.

In fact, being left brained isn’t usually about anything like that, it’s about being an analytical thinker and such….

as opposed to right-brained, impulsive and and artistic.

And in actual factual fact…. according to scientists it’s about being gullible enough to believe wacky theories, like left/right brain dominance.

Liverlips…. I wonder whether the process for posting the 2019 reruns is automated….

maybe it slipped off the rails and nobody’s checking.

Meanwhile…. you need the doggie in the video I posted!

Jless…. if you stop by….. is that you in your avatar?

    And a current picture?

I’m asking cos I’m always glad to see it when younger people still like comics!

    And x_Tech…. yay!

I just can’t believe Donald O’Basset is so agile! I’ll bet the choreographer spent weeks just in getting him to willingly take all those prat falls.

Thanks for a great poster, Stel. One of my all time favorite movies!
