We have plenty of party pontoon boats on our lake. Unfortunately none of them is piloted by the dog.

Maybe I’m not supposed to point it out.. but it’s a re-run.

I’m NOT telling you to give away a secret,

but because perhaps some of you, like me, watch very little TV, or none… and some are not in the US.

 

So, like me the first time this ran, you may guess it’s a parody of something…

but I had to do some Googling, to discover that it was this car insurance commercial, which I’d never seen:

It’s pretty spot on.

 

Even if you don’t let Cleo bring the board or the pieces, so she has no chance to plant mines in the board, or hide an explosive device in your favorite pewter shoe..

she always brings her best game….

No offense, Claude or Clara… but I think Cleo is the brains of the family.

You’d have to go a long way to outwit her, or put up strong resistance to stop her…

nether of which seem to be within reach of the human Cliffords.

 

For a moment I was confused, to see Plods’ comment in the middle of the ten-years-ago pack….

but then I realised you posted here 10 years ago, Plods!

I wasn’t on GoComics till 8 1/2 years ago, myself, after the merger with Comics.com in 2011…

But I imagine you were already “Plods with Beer” then… so your comment was more predicable. LOL

 

Anyhow, I think that’s Sparky.

I dunno why everyone is so surprised that he can drive a pontoon boat.

After all, pontoons are designed for Sunday drivers… it’s no motor yacht.

And Sparky is no Scooter… but he is a talented fellow..

BTW, late on Saturday’s comments, since so many of us had said we’d been stuck on 8 differences,

Nighthawks asked the question I’d been thinking of posing here tonight…

that is, what was the hardest one…

that elusive ninth one, that threw you.

 

Five of us replied… and only two answers were the same.

But several more of you had reported reaching an impasse, at least for a while, with eight.

Now that you can look at the solution…. anybody else want to tell us the ninth difference they found… or couldn’t?
