I kinda had a vague memory about that Robert Goulet bit…. NOT from the original run back in the 60’s, but from much later mention, probably on the internet.
(DISCLAIMER: I’m also not asserting that I couldn’t have seen it in the 60’s, only that I don’t remember. )
So after my earlier post, I did a bit of Googling… and I actually turned up the longer clip from which yours was cut.
I’d thought it was a variety show…. even that perhaps Goulet had hosted the one this came from…
but nooo it’s actually from, of all places… “I’ve Got a Secret.”
It’s rather bizarrely presented, and it’s 8 minutes of your life you won’t get back again….
But the beginning and the very end give the whole thing some rather weird context that I found interesting, and you might too.
Okay. I dragged my feet long enough. I looked and I looked at C&C and only found 8 differences. So in looking at the solution, I found the one I missed was one of those easy ones! Harrumph! I guess I was looking at the warm poster and trying to avoid the early winter scene. Why, there wasn’t even a ’57 Studebaker hood ornament to be seen!
Okay, so I thought I had found nine. But one of the ones I found wasn’t a difference, and the ninth difference was so small I think I should get a pass. In truth, I think the final difference is that it is 5 degrees colder in the bottom (right) panel.

With a name like Thunder, it’s fortunate your pack is made of wood.

Wow… I’m actually the first one here from 2019….
unless somebody else posts during my slooow typing….
So I can welcome you to the Saturday puzzle, on
the Nov 16th 2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”
You can find it on Sherpa, like all Cleo strips…
http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy
Or because it’s the puzzle, in vertical form … you can just go straight to my side by side version…. with this link:
https://i.postimg.cc/W4Zy4z7M/Cleo-nine-differences-Nov-16th-19.jpg
As ever, I recommend downloading it, so you can mark the differences in Paint or whatever drawing/image editing program you use….
but if you’d rather just look at it with Neil Wick’s GC Links…at least click on it to open it in another window, big enough to see!
I think this one is a little harder than last week’s… but persevere… all nine differences are in there.
And I’ll be bringing the solution gif a bit later, so you can check your results.
It is, of course, the contribution of our semi-anonymous gifmaker, who Can bi so kind.

Looking at tonight’s puzzle, which BTW is brand new…. and I don’t even recall ever seeing that panel in a strip….
I’m suddenly grateful that I live in California.
This is Northern California….
so of course, it’s not like Hawaii….
We do have fall and winter here, which is fine with me…
but it was 67°F today, not 17°….
and I’m not standing in slush and snow, watching icicles drip.
I don’t need to go to Hawaii….
I’ll settle for the scattering of palm trees that live through our winters…
mostly tall date palms and some squatty ornamentals, not willowy coconuts, which are more fragile. They may be shivering, inside, but they stand proud anyway, among the redwoods and eucalyptus.
Speaking of standing proud…
Thunder looks proud to be the one who keeps things rolling….
And those pups look quite happy to follow…
why wooden they be!

Thunder’s mind is gone, gone, gone!

That’s the closest they’ll ever get to Hawaii.

All those leads Thunder is pulling had better be rigid, lest his minions continue past him when he stops.

Aahh, Thunder is practicing for fatherhood!!! Back to normal today, I only got 6, didn’t want to hang around too long in that snow!!!

OK…. before I doze off completely, (like I did last night, BTW… couldn’t even post.)…
I’d better post the solution gif….
I wouldn’t want to ask the the semi-anonymous gifmaker to make a gif and then be the one to make the gif not be made available…. right?
Just be sure you have given it a good try before you peek…. capisce? Otherwise we send our “boys” around.
