Butch Bassety and Sundance learned that they should stay away from Bolivian kibble. See Cleo and Company:

I have to agree with Jaw, this fact was discovered centuries ago by the chosen ones. Kudos to Ted for discovering it for himself. Now he might need to work on the presentation a little bit.

Stel, that is one beautiful poster for one of the all time great buddy movies. And who better to star in buddy movies than a couple of basset legends? After all, man’s best friend.

The other movies might just as well stay home during the awards show. They won’t win any awards. I also noticed that Oscar and Annie is back after 2 years away. Maybe they know something about Sherpa being fixed.

Loved the movie. How did they get stunt dogs to do the cliff jump?

    Beautiful poster again.

    Beautiful poster, Stel!

    I loved the movie, too….

Funny thing, though…. I know Paul Newhound is thought of as a handsome dog…. and he has those piercing eyes that make so many ladies…. canine and human…. sigh deeply.

But somehow, the magic is lost on me…

I never really thought about it ’till I was talking with a friend about a scene in this film… and I referred to the Sundance Pup as “the good-looking one.”

She said “They’re both good looking!”

    Oh.

Well…. you can take Paul Newhound for a long walk and I’ll stay here and scratch Robbie Redflea behind the ears.

Ooops. maybe someone will have to walk Katherine Ruffs, too.

She looks like she wants to bite me.

    It’s OK, Katherine…. here girl… c’mon.

I don’t want him the way you do… and even if it-weren’t because I’m human, and he’s a dog… I’m too old to have puppies anyway.

Before I dozed off, earlier, I’d been looking to see whether the humans had ripped off…. er… I mean, copied this poster.

At first I thought they hadn’t… they made a similar film but the poster was different….

But finally I found some very like it.

Now I see that Tigressy has posted one that’s close…. they’re hard to find!

Bit they lined up a whole bunc of humans along the bottom, and I don’t know why.

Meanwhile… I had found one think is a bit closer….

at least it has some flowers and no crowd scene below…..

but they apparently couldn’t find a beautiful antique bouquet like the one Stel used for the basset version.

Ooooh…. and that music… they couldn’t match the Bertie Backscratch tunes….

“Kibble keeps falling on my head… ♫ ♪

    But that doesn’t mean my eyes will soon be turning blue… ♫ ♪ ♬ ♩ "

OMG! What a really neat poster! Stel, you have created the bestest one of 2019! The art work is outstanding! Love the names and “Most of it is true”. What fun.

Are you reserving the Grand Theatre with those special rocking seats for our C&C family night at the BassetPlex? I’ll bring the hot-kibble to share.
