On the other hand, a “short term action plan” is precisely what Allison IS suggesting, if we ignore any subtext or hidden inflection in her words. It was as neutral a phrase as she could conjure up.
That being said, the scene suggests to me that Tony has expressed to Allison his consternation over what to do next. If I (and maybe you too) was confronted with this situation in reality, I don’t know that I could be as matter-of-fact, as practical, and non-judgmental as Allie, if I may take the liberty. I might be on the phone with Dr. Freud right now.
Stel Bel: I think B.T. is very youthful looking, not nearly as jowly as an adult B.T. I’ll bet he did something like wander off during a family picnic in the park.

But that is infanticide, and cannibalism! How grotesque!

I wonder what kind of magic B.T. can do with that claw?

Welcome, everybody!
And thank you, Nighthawks, for posting the Jan 7th 2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” here on Ballard Street….
as it looks like we still can’t get to it on Sherpa.
I, too, was looking for a human production….
I know they did it… E.B., the film, was entirely too popular and successful for humans not to rip off….
but their posters were a bit different.
Their “hero” was neither a basset nor human, but an alien… a weird looking creature they call E.T.
who appears in the poster Tigressy posted above, sans credits.
I found the credits… but in a poster that is almost-but-not-quite sans the creature himself.
https://www.filmonpaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/ETTheExtraTerrestrial_onesheet_BikeOverMoon_USA-1.jpg
If you look closely, you can see that he’s being spirited away, in the basket of a flying bicycle.
I thought you might want to see it anyway, to compare the credits and see how hard they searched for humans with names…
or who were willing to assume names…. that could trade on the fame of these great basset actors.
The gall!

Maybe BT can find out why Cleo was removed and completely forgotten about by the portly people who run this place. I wouldn’t count on it.

Now let’s all take a DEEP BREATH and patiently wait for the crack team of GoComics’ engineers* to address this temporary glitch.

Oooooo…. Stel has given us more Sparklies. Made with glowing, glittery gems from another galaxy.
And, we have today’s ear worm with another great, galloping gleeful score by John Howler.
Thanks, Stel
