I am not sure how Ronnie got his hand around the bottom of the couch from that position. Meanwhile, It appears that the stress has something to do with Jen, who is stoically dealing with his nonsense. It appears he is trying to avoid answering a question that Jen posed to him. He probably never will.

He deserves several words – a good chewing out, spitting out and stomping on followed by a punch on the nose and a good swift kick. And yet, after all that, he’d do it again and again!

The return of the “Do Not Touch” button! I wonder what Claude would do if it said “Press here.”

That was ECE pie that came out and smacked Claude. It was Evil Cat Excrement pie. He will never get the stink smell off.

Shhh…. I’m not really here… in case you can’t tell.

I had some stuff to do, and then, I hate to admit, kinda slept through my comics time.

    But since I’m awake now…. sigh….

Claude has never met a button he didn’t like.

Well… maybe excluding the one on the waistband of his pants…

I don’t think I’m giving away any secrets (and if I am, sorry, Nighthawks) if I mention that this is a rerun.

The reason I bring it up is that this is at least the second time I’ve seen Claude with his face dripping in (presumably cream) pie…

and been struck by how much that layer of goo makes him weirdly resemble Earl Pickles.

    https://i.postimg.cc/hGLC25TM/Earl-Pickles.png

So maybe that’s how you draw Earl?

You draw Claude… and cover his face with pie???

Anyway… I really just wanted to stop in and say “Xin Nian Hao!”

which is more or less the Mandarin of what what Tigressy probably “said” in Korean….

    “Happy New Year!”…

Though I’m told Chinese people are actually more likely to wish each other prosperity…. “Gong Xi Fa Cai!”

And around here, that’s more likely to be …. "

Gung Hei Fat Choy!" (in Cantonese)

    Take your choice.

OK, another strange musing… “choy” is the word for various Chinese vegetables… some, like bok choy, choy sum, and my favorite, yao choy, are related to cabbage.

In English, "cabbage " is quaint slang for “money.”

But when you wish somebody prosperity with “Gung Hei Fat Choy” … the word “choy” has a totally different meaning…. not cabbage at all.

I wanted to think I discovered that the phrase translates to “Get a fat pile of cabbage.” But no.

Obviously way past my bedtime, right?

    G’night….

For sure Clara will smell the coconut cream, and see the crust in his glasses. I’ll even bet he’ll expect her to clean his clothes after this!
