At first I thought it was some malevolent hand, to the right of JVA’s signature and above Harold’s head. Now I see that it is just a loose screw that caused Grandfather’s portrait to crash down on him. Harold stoically reads on in his magazine, to the last page.
No nail visible, no door or doorway frame, wrong angle – what’s she doing anyway? Testing the sensitivity of the landmine she’d buried in the backyard – but has forgotten where exactly?
Soooooo. This time Claude didn’t even push the button, and he gets to see stars. There he was, safe at home, and our dear little Cleo decides to fix up the house. Harrumph.
Cleo and a Hammer — not a good combination. I always worry about that happening…..with a hammer, an ax, a pick, etc. (yet it never has happened for me)(I worry to much!)

O-kaaay….
I may be a bit confused… but welcome, everybody…
I’m sure you’re all on the way to comment on
the April 24th 2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”
Which you CAN see on Sherpa…
http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy
Though Nighthawks has posted a link to something….
Nighthawks, I don’t know whether you’re linking to a more complicated version which perhaps didn’t fit on Sherpa….
or maybe a practice version, that you forgot to remove…. or something else altogether.
But whatever it is… sorry…. all I can get to is a 404 error.
Maybe it’s something Cleo doesn’t want us to see.
She’s already afraid she’s in trouble for this little hammer incident.
Be a good dog, Cleo….
call 911… or at least call Clara!
Don’t go out and bury the hammer in the back yard and hide.
We’re all onto you anyway.

What is it about a ball peen hammer that is funny? Claw hammer – not funny. Ball peen – funny.

Poor Claude.

Why should this evening be any different than the others?

This is where Claude thinks he’d rather be a hammer than a nail.

Cleo needs to blame the cat next door for messing with the hammer.
