An inspired juxtaposition, Stel Bel. I recognized Donkey Hotay right away but, being the philistine that I am, would never have known the overall setting was Van Gogh. Very poetic.
I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but I’m going to be singing about Impossible Dreams all day long!
This is a beautiful poster today, Stel. And somewhat appropriate for this crazy world we’re living in right now. May you all reach that unreachable star!

Looks like her ideas tend to involve caffeine.

Boy, for some reason, the instant I saw Cynthia, I said “Marcy!”

Whoa, StelBel! You have ripped off not one but two great artists in one cartoon! Brava!

Unfortunately that idea isn’t any better than the others.

I like Cynthia, and I would like to know her latest idea. A new way to get Sherpa cartoons treated fairly, perhaps?

@StelBel: A beautiful mix. Both human artists could only wish that they could do half as well.

Some might laugh at first glance, but Cynthia’s ideas have made her a millionaire many times over.

Hello, art lovers and Cleo fans…
Tonight we visit three disparate works, which have somehow come together as one…
in the June 2nd 2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” on Sherpa….
A late 19th century oil, by the great post-impressionist painter, Van Gogh….
A mid-20th century sketch by the renowned Picasso…
long thought to be a simple pen and black ink drawing….
but a possible original copy has recently been unearthed, in blue, and has thrown its presumed provenance into question….Of course… a work so impressive, especially a basset one, is bound to have imitators…
jealous of the fame so readily accorded the canines in the worlds of art, music, theater and film.
Very soon, some unknown human obviously rushed to copy Stelbel….
plastering a probably unapproved human version of the Picasso over the same Van Gogh…
and so quickly ,that some parts were left out or shifted in the process.

And then, flushed with what they perceived as success, the humans got carried away… as humans do…
plastering that illicit human variation onto other Van Goghs…

And even, if you can believe it…
onto merchandise!
