Lowell, you may be in a tad of trouble…
Uh oh
I’d rather have a dog trained to sniff out exclaimable characters.
Most of the people on Ballard Street are of questionable character, for one reason or another. But Lowell, I don’t like that look he is giving you. Maybe some treats would buy him off for a while.
Lowell my friend, it appears that Porky has your number.
They sniff him here, they sniff him there – Damn that elusive Pimperbasset!

Let me just say that I don’t see how anyone could resist those puppy-dog eyes on Janey Seemore.
First, he has to have character to question.
I am more familiar with the 1934 version with Leslie Howlard, but I suppose you can seemore with the latter version.
They had to do several takes, because Ian McCollie kept tripping over his ears during the fight scenes.
Oooh… simple but beautiful…. I love this poster from StelBel
I remember this movie…
one of those rip-roaring, swashbucking period-costumed adventures….
right out of a young girl’s daydreams… sigh….
… the handsome hero, and spirited horses, the royal intrigue….
dark mystery… and of course, fancy swordplay.
Ooooh….
It’s been years since I saw it… but certain parts I remember well.
It’s more fun when we can attend the live Ballard BassetPlex Theaters…
but they’re all shuttered.
Still…. we have a lot of fun at the virtual ones.
And we can’t catch anything, sitting together in the virtual BasstPlexIV, right?
We can still get sodas and ice cream and hot fresh kibblecorn.
You know, I’ve also seen the copydog human version
It just isn’t the same….
it’s missing … I dunno… I guess… there’s no doggy magic.
Look…. I found it….
Even the artwork has lost the flourishes and charm of Stel’s original….
and the actors…. humphff…. no basset wizardry there, is there!

Good morning, Ballardeers! Q Date: 298.98613.16
Gotta love it. Lowell has a lot of questions about his rescue. Be glad he wasn’t an explosives sniffer.
Vive la revolution! The Scarlet Pimperbasset is here!
Y’all be safe out there. (((((Hugs)))))_
Good morning Balladeers, (((((Plods))))) and Miss Susan.
Ohhhh… A swashbuckling extravaganza! (I do so love when my bucket gets swashed. )
Stel, what a tender moment from this movie. I love the pose of our two bassets. Sigh. I can see why they won all those awards.
