Those little grey menaces, around my back yard, delight in trying to agitate my dog. Only problem, he’s deaf as a post, so unless he notices them, it’s all for naught !

    G’mornin’ folks…

Bev — so sorry I kept getting pulled away from Ballard St. when trying to answer you… as you note, all sorts of things demand my attention…

    To you and Linguist both….

yaks and cowbells are outside my purvey…those are things the Monkey deals with…We’re just good pals.I did get my yurt from him… it was shipped from Turdmunkestan to Stelbel, marked especially for me…and it was delivered by musk oxen… but I don’t own any.

(They seemed very sweet, though.) x_Tech very kindly did some interior modification to make the TARDIS effect more efficient and bring it up to Western standards.

The Yurt as you saw it last night (I think I’ll post it again today) IS set up…. and very spacious inside.

Bev is right — it’s like Snoopy’s doghouse, which also appears to have a TARDIS interior…he has a grand piano, valuable paintings, and a downstairs with a pool table, among other things.

So…. this is my new yurt, set up in the salon back yard…. The interior expands from a studio cabin to up to three bedrooms as needed. It has small wheels for repositioning, but they’re not suitable for travel….

And this is the same yurt, when actually folded for travel, with the accessory travel wheels and handle attached.

In that position it’s very small and light …. just what I wanted…. but will only sleep one, or two if they’re… cozy, and the kitchen is small. But it’s easy to untie and expand for guests, even on the road. I love it!

Oh … and Bev — thanks for the link. After you mentioned her, I tried to Google a comic character named Oona but didn’t find one….I guess cos I didn’t know her last name.

Too tired to explore all that right now but I bookmarked it.

And Linguist…. I hope you saw my thanks the other night….it may have been a bit garbled…but it was sincere.

You’ve been very generous to all of us, and your transportation services were invaluable on a night when so many of us were…um… a bit over-celebratory.Or a lot.Thanks.

Well… I’ve written way too much… it’s time to go to sleep again….

I wanted to tell the Sheriff I’m glad to see him wearing his new badge…and I haven’t even remarked on Walter and his dog….but I’m sure I recognise that rapt expression…

So all I need is two more words:

    Brunswick Stew!

My Max still tries to after the random squirrel, even though his leash only extends to 15 feet…he’ll strain against it. Yesterday, behind “Shop Row” down the street, there were SIX squirrels scurrying about the dumpsters. Max stood there, absolutely frozen, and I guess, overwhelmed.

The squirrels paid him no mind whatsoever. Apparently, Max had experienced “circuit overload”.

    maybe Max sensed the danger…………

Yes love the new Sheriff’ badge.

They’ve done studies on how people look like their dogs. I did look more like my pomererain more when I would be in the sun and it would lighten my hair to a more auburn shade with blond streaks, we were almost identical but I think we need more research into the forging of common interest aspect of – SQUIRREL!

In our area, we have both all-red squirrels AND all-black ones as well, along with the standard grey. Then, interbreeding happens so that there are a variety of shades in between. The red ones and black ones have only been around here for 10 or 12 years.

    Mrs. Beviek!

My goodness. Are you still drinking?

Storm…. you really have to watch her at your parties… the liquor in the bottles seems to stay the same level… but at your NEXT party, the margaritas are Shirley Temples.

The other day when x_Tech posted about dog neutering I said some men I knew couldn’t discuss it….I guess some monkeys too! Well, it makes sense… humans have a long history of doing what they will with …. various parts… of animals. Even monkeys probably have a deeply ingrained, if unconscious, foreboding of those practices…

Don’t worry, Sheriff…. there’s plenty of brain bleach…Marg and I just got a big shipment yesterday.

I’m sorry Bev scared you…No, don’t worry, we know you’re a brave Sheriff….some things just aren’t made for monkeys to hear!Meanwhile…. Stel….oh Stel….. we’re such good friends… why would you think i was accusing you of anything?

I KNOW you knew that bedroom was in my loft…. I just included you in the sentence cos Bev seemed confused…. and I wanted you both to know you were invited to see my yurt.

And I thought you would sniffle love my yurt….
