Fenton, set a round up for all our regulars on my tab. I’m off to get some well deserved zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,G’nite bev, marg, Susan, bri , Downunder, Number Six and everyone else. I’m goin’ like Wynken, Blynken, and Nod :
Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night Sailed off in a wooden shoe—-Sailed on a river of crystal light, Into a sea of dew.“Where are you going, and what do you wish?” The old moon asked the three.“We have come to fish for the herring fish That live in this beautiful sea; Nets of silver and gold have we!” Said Wynken, Blynken, And Nod.
The old moon laughed and sang a song, As they rocked in the wooden shoe,And the wind that sped them all night long Ruffled the waves of dew.The little stars were the herring fish That lived in that beautiful sea—-“Now cast your nets wherever you wish—- Never afeard are we”; So cried the stars to the fishermen three: Wynken, Blynken, And Nod.
All night long their nets they threw To the stars in the twinkling foam—-Then down from the skies came the wooden shoe, Bringing the fishermen home;’T was all so pretty a sail it seemed As if it could not be,And some folks thought ’t was a dream they ’d dreamed Of sailing that beautiful sea—- But I shall name you the fishermen three: Wynken, Blynken, And Nod.
Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes, And Nod is a little head,And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies Is a wee one’s trundle-bed.So shut your eyes while mother sings Of wonderful sights that be,And you shall see the beautiful things As you rock in the misty sea, Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three: Wynken, Blynken, And Nod.
He forgot to put his sox on again. He is sneaking upstairs to remedy the situation.Everyone knows how picky Hellen can be about Lewis’ lack of fashion sense.
Kudos to Lew for being able to execute a strategic withdrawal up the stairs ON HIS KNEES!!!
And, if you, too, would like to be able to do what you used to do, call:
(see our ad in the Ballard Bugle)
(note to x_Tech : didn’t my ad for the Ballard Orthopedic Clinic and Dry Cleaners make it into the Ballard Bugle before it was “put to bed?” I looked through all the last week’s issues, but couldn’t find it!)
(duck bill provided courtesy of **Stel’s WWOI and Costume Annex, corner of Ballard St. and Ballard County Rd., open daily 9am-9pm Visa and Mastercard accepted
and, stop in at our newest addition: Stel’s Slow and Steady Snails Sign Specialists Shop “Sign, Sign..Everywhere a Sign” )
And rotten, actually… you did so much work on those, and they’re a happy memory for me.(That whole day is something for which I’ll always be grateful.)
Stel and I noticed that her invitation, right at the beginning of Tuesday’s forum, showing me posed with some Disney princesses, is also gone. She’d posted one view with an envelope, and another without…and she’d put a lot of work into those.
We thought maybe there was a system in place for surreptitiously removing any altered Disney-related content…
It could be either GoComics or PhotoBucket that fears the very long arms of that Mouse.
But I have your whole Bugle from Tuesday saved…and page 1 has no such content.
Unfortunately, I thought I’d saved the Wednesday edition, and I didn’t.I was overwhelmed by that point, I guess…and I never thought things would disappear.
Would still love to have it…if you would be willing to try posting the pages again as an experiment, or, pretty please, e-mailing them to me on gmail.
Yes, Stel…. it might not be visible on those labels, in such a small picture (nice shot, though!) but I’ve started providing tomatoes to Hunt’s, S&W, and various other canned tomato packers…. On the back of every can it says “A product of Susan Sunshine ™ Processing Plant and Plant Processing Group, Inc.”I’ve made remarkable progress, having owned my own farms and facility for a mere week…luckily, I have hair clients in all segments of various markets, who put in a good word for my tomatoes.
Very soon I intend to have my own brand on the shelves as well….hoping that they don’t mind a bit of competition.Perhaps we can all establish prices together…no one would object to that….would they? But I do have to work on an abbreviation…Is the Linguist’s suggestion too short?
