Um. Isn’t saying Correctness Doesn’t Matter the same as saying I’m telling a lie?

If it’s in a book, it must be true. Or at least, correct.

Julie has done it her way, too…. and… straight ahead, roundabout, or upside down and backwards…. she now feels vindicated.

The Ballard Street Ladies’ Lemon Pudding and Ikebana Society be… darned…. there is no one correct spoon for chocolate syrup.

You CAN wear blue with purple, plaid with polka dots…. and flowers in your hair before Pi day.The more she thinks, the giddier she feels….

any minute now, she’ll need a small brandy to put her feet back on the ground.

No, little monkeys…. we still have to do things correctly at the Tiki.ONE plastic monkey to a glass, please…yes, I know they looked cute, but six is too many. And nobody wants you to balance those olives on your noses before you put them in the drinks.

Ever since Julie started reading that book, Milton’s life hasn’t been the same. Her long-suffering spouse seems to be spending a great deal of time lately, apologizing for Julie’s uncharacteristic, outrageous, behavior ( I must say, her nude Rite of Spring dance in the city fountain was a bit much ! ).I did have a chuckle when she told Pastor Longwinder, that if he was paid by the quality of his sermons, he’d be broke.Poor Milton used to find solace in a quiet pint at the Tiki, but ever since Julie decided that it was the place to party-down, his life has been one embarrassment after another. You don’t want to know what she’s capable of after three dirty martinis !

Just last week Julie was getting ready for bed, shedding the polka dot dress and shoes that were too tight on her swollen feet when her husband pointed out that they hadn’t left the movie theater yet.

At the very least, it should not matter at home. I have always thought correctness was over-rated. . .

    particularly

the correctness they choose to call political.

I’ll have a martini with 2 plastic monkeys and no olive, little monkey. Thank you so much. You placed the monkeys just right. Very professional of you.

I’ll have to start counting the days soon to the end of my diet (so I can stock up on totally different foods). My baking shells were delivered this week.

Not so interested in the drinking, but I will have some. Great to get back to some actual animal protein (meat, cheese and even fish – which is not my fave, except for that Valentine’s meal (which may be moved to a different day, because) so then I’ll have a nice sandwich of flank steak and cheddar. In any case there is around 40 days more or less remaining of my captivity. And my blood pressure is doing better now just as I expected, because I’m quite happy.
