Mark’s knees don’t hurt anymore, but his arms have ceased to function for some reason…

Mark’s body is now asking Mark’s brain for advice about which leg to limp on. This is known as “referred pain”.

My body and I stopped talking to each other months ago. I’m fine with that.

I think I’ve been doing the whole thing backwards!

I thought it was my body that told my brain when my knees hurt. So if I feel an inkling, I treat my body with heat, or ibuprofen, or little stick-on patches called Salonpas..all in the hopes that my brain won’t find out.

If it’s my brain that knows first…all I need to do is go to the Tiki for a few shots of Glenfidditch, or even a couple of banana daks…and confuse my mind so my knees never find out they should hurt!

Shika… my body and I conspire to try and get away with things my brain would never allow, if it knew.

If it does find out, though…that’s when I pay for it.

I guess it’s not just me……sigh!I like the one about Glenn not receiving any help from his body to straighten up. I can relate so I just don’t bend over. Susan Sunshine has some good ideas there. Beviek – that couch cake is pretty neat!
