When Bob first decided to put an eminence in his yard, It was when he realized nobody wanted to read anything he wrote. Besides he kept sliding onto the sidewalk, where people trod upon his person.
Sitting up there plays into a couple of Bob’s secret dreams…
For one, he was always a little jealous of his cousin Patrick, who was 6’5" by the 10th grade.
Patrick pretended to be annoyed when people said “how’s the weather up there?” …but Bob envied his view from the top.
And, also, he has always wanted a fancy title… like … one of those guys in those old movies, with the pencil mustaches, and silver cigarette lighters…So…though he’s never told Sally…he kinda hopes some newcomer to Ballard County will spot him sitting up there, one day… and look up and say “How’s the weather up there, Your Eminence?”
When the breeze shifts you can hear Bob singing;Oh, The grand old Duke of York,He had ten thousand men;He marched them up to the top of the hill,And he marched them down again.
And when they were up, they were up,And when they were down, they were down,And when they were only half-way up,They were neither up nor down.
Good morning BS’rs. Here it is another weekend. Good’O.Bobarion, nice to see you. This is a nice place with good people. Have fun and ‘Laugh’! You and Bob[the toon] will[can] have Eminence, over the hill[mound]of grass. :) Peace.
Are you sure that’s Mrs. H., and not her younger sister, Wanda Mann? And are you certain that’s from 1962. I was only 3 years old then and not yet living in this country, so I surely wasn’t up on the latest fashions, but that ensemble appears to these bloodshot eyes to be of a slightly more recent vintage.
Good sundae morning everyone. Rain here on magic mountain,at this end of Ballard Street. Kinda windy. Below 60deg. Wx says over 80deg most of next week. sigh. Have a great new week everyone. Be safe and stay hydrated. :) Peace.
