I have to recuse myself on this question…After all my years selling vintage clothes, and later, a dozen years working at the Renaissance Faire, all the costuming I’ve done…How can I possibly make fun of pirate shirts?
I’ve made them, I’ve sold them…back in hippie days I even dated men who were wearing them…
Now the ones the boys are wearing, in the strip today, are kinda silly…But I’m sure the Linguist has a closetful of nice ones…
Sheriff Monkeyblues looks very handsome in a pirate shirt, too … sigh…
So that’s where all my shirts have gone !! I’m never taking another shirt to be cleaned at LT&R Dry Cleaning, Martinizing & Waterproofing again. Those guys have been telling me that the shirts got lost in the wash or that the ironers hadn’t finished, so come back next week.Well, there’s gonna be a few timbers shivered around Ballard Street this week ! Here’s 3 more of my shirts that have “disappeared”
I’ve ordered the crew of my galleon The Irish Rover® to keep their eyes and ears open for any sign of those three shirt purloining wannabes.
Actually, I’ve given up ( for the most part) the “frilly” frock shirts for the more comfortable shirts worn in Ecuador.

I wonder if Krispy Kreme is doing Pirate Day this year? The site still has the ad up from 2015.

A pirate shirt is nothing without a good parrot accessory

I guess I’m too old — I remember them as being called “Tom Jones shirts.”

I’m surprised no one commented on the cigars they’re all smoking.

Well schucks! As a young teenager, I LOVED TOM JONES! Still enjoy his old music, though I haven’t heard it in years!
