The denizens of Ballard Street are very big on rituals, rites and ceremonies. Customs and costumes are part of our daily routines.
As StelBel will tell you, providing the apparel and apparatus for people with peculiar pensions and passion is profitable. Many, merry merchants, make mounds of money monthly, moving materials and modes of masquerade.
. Of course, there is also a large group of the uninhibited inhabitants ( mostly males ) who vouchsafe a freer life style and shed the trappings of civilization in an effort to get back to nature. They are often seen sans sensibility – subtracted of suits, shirts, shoes and socks – strutting or sashaying serenely down the street.
Take you pick. We are a ( for the most part ) a very tolerant bunch and provided you have the proper permit, just about anything goes here on Ballard Street
You’re all welcome to join me for the libation of your liking at the Tiki , First found is on me !
BTW: Fenton, I certainly don’t mind you putting Pierre le Nez, aka Pete the Beak’s drinks on my tab and I don’t you putting a drink or two for one of my friends on my bill BUT…. I noticed, and I’m sure it was a verbal misunderstanding, that beviek managed to get ALL of her drinks from last night put on my slate !!I’d hate to have this become a common occurrence. It might reflect badly in your gratuity !
No , it’s not ! You alway confuse Pierre le Nez, aka Pete the Beak, for his cousin Chanceux Louis, aka Lucky Louie.I know they look somewhat alike but Pete has his appendages while Louie lost his leg ( he only wear the eyepatch for effect. ).
Never let Lucky Louie leach lunch or libations ! That pitiful parrot perpetually panhandles purchases on his perch porch, purloining people’s peanuts and pennies and pecking passing pirates.

What he possesses is a bit of a talent for ceremony…but he could take a lesson from his friend Aaron….
Nonetheless, an evening of watching television is quite the occasion at the Stephens’ house…..

Shouldn’t that read “….what little talent he might possess?”

Yes. I’d say Mr. Stephens has indeed called forth all his talents….. sadly.

I think this is the Swiss Hat and Briefcase Dance, which celebrates both Springtime and falling interest rates (and possibly Daylight Saving Time). :)
