This staring contest has been going on since Oct 5, 2007. Sooner or later that coffee is going to get to Ralph.
Poor Digger is home alone, and Ralph loves to come over and torture him. But one day…one day….
Digger is a watch dog and Ralph is on a dog watch.
Sooner or later, Ralph might realize that Digger is a statue.
Nap time.
By his retirement day in 2007, Ralph had spent the last 9 of his 30 years at Bildham, Burnham, and Cashin Insurance Co. staring at a computer monitor.
His wife, Millie was still working all day…
And the next door neighbors worried about what their excitable young dog, “Digger,” did while they were at work.
Ralph’s first week of retirement, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Millie came home to find him, still in his pajamas, staring at the TV.
Thursday morning, she packed him a lunch and a Thermos full of coffee, and suggested a nice long walk.
She may have said “Take a hike,” but that’s pretty much the same thing, right?
11 years later….
The end of Ralph’s daily walk,
and the excitement of each day for Digger …
still converge in a not quite congenial companionship.
In case anybody besides me wonders about the artist with the twisted mind…
who creates the place that so many other twisted minds feel so at home…
I’d like to share a picture I found on the internet (undated, but it can’t be too old because he was born in 1941)…

Ya gotta love the semi-evil grin….
/Even as a child I had what people called my “Stuff”- eating grin". Sometimes it turned evil. But I could never use my power for good and not evil.
It looks like digger has a bone to pick with Ralph.

The morning ritual between Digger and Ralph
Digger doesn’t look too pleased.
What a pain in the glass!
Looks like Digger’s primal instincts are kicking in.
It’s show time!
2 billion channels and still nothing to watch.
One of these days, Digger will realize that he can get the back door open……..and Ralph will finally get to take that hike……….at 42 1/2 mph.
…are those two still at it?
Sheesh!
One, if not both, of them need to get a life!
Super moon Sunday here on my end of Ballard.
