Later, they’ll adjourn to the Slate Rock and Quarry.

Looks like Seattle lately. At least the crane operators add holiday lighting to the cranes in these dark months, it’s kind of cute. We have always gone downtown for the decorations, but the cranes add festivity.

Those chairs, with their bird’s-eye view of the proceedings …………………………. good times.

Pot stickers would be good choices for this lunch. Or scallops!

The guy who’s face is hidden must be the master.

He graduated from cookies to chicken legs.

Yes, we can see what those tall chairs add….

about a foot and a half, I’d say.

Just a guess… but an educated one.

They look a couple of inches taller than the bar stools at the Tiki…. and I’m very familiar with those.

Because I work there! What did you think?

Anyway, I’ve never been to the Crane Operator’s luncheon, or even to a regular Crane Operator’s Club meeting.

But their cranes look very nice indeed.

Some years ago, as it happens, I helped a local organization fold several sets of 1000 origami cranes.

But they didn’t look anything like cranes…

    not like these cranes, anyway.

In fact, I thought they looked kinda like some sort of winged creatures.
