Louie knows from experience not to trust Leon when he is holding a magazine.

What brought this on? Did Leon step on Louie’s tail, followed by a bite on the leg? Please you two, no harm was intended. Share some of Susan’s cookies and get over it.A large Mme. Deuxcouleur graces the foyer, but the rest of the art is from the minimalist Mme. Unecouleur in her blue period. Not to my taste.

I wasn’t aware that Dennis was selling the new triple pleated bi-color pants.

He carries such cutting edge fashion!

And I don’t know about the Unecouleur set.. hung vertically they are quite soothing, kind of like water dripping down the wall.

Louie’s spectrum of colour may be limited but he still knows there is something wrong with that outfit.

Leon is not really a “dog person” and Louie knows it.

It was Leon’s wife, Matilda, who brought Louie home from the shelter two months ago.

Louie is grateful…. first time he’s ever had enough food, a nice bed, and those fancy treats that look like bacon (which he appreciates though he’d much rather have real bacon.)

But he thinks he senses in Leon a desire to add a … you know…. a… C-A-T … to his new-found comfy abode.

Leon sense Louie’s foreboding…. but he doesn’t know why he’s getting those challenging stares.

    Truth to tell…. he’s a bit afraid of Louie…. and most pets…

though he thinks having a dog, to please Matilda, is better than her bringing home a pointy-clawed fur-shedding, ungrateful feline.

Wish you guys would realise you agree, and shake hands… paws… well, whatever you’ve got to shake.

    No, not booties.

BTW… been having internet trouble…. couldn’t post here last night…

    Hope this one goes.

Supposed to be getting repaired Wednesday….

Monkey… sorry it’s made me late a couple of times….

I should be able to do better after that.

Pies in the fridge for you….

and those 14 loaves of banana bread should get you and the Tiki through till noon tomorrow, when I bake more.

My guess is Louie’s mistrust of Leon started after that trip to the vet when his nether regions were lightened (snip snip).

Leon’s mistrust started after he made a trip to the bathroom late one night and found one of Louie’s deposits along the way. Those bad enough to find when the lights are on let alone at night when you leave the lights off while you go from bed to the bathroom.

Leon & Louie are both at Distrust Condition (DISCON) 3. They will soon go to DISCON 2: Leon will roll the magazine up and Louie will give a low growl. This will escalate to DISCON 1 where Leon raises his magzine hand and Louie bares his teeth. From there, things are bound to deteriorate. It’s a policy of Mutually Assured Snarling.

Louie smells a rat, but in actuality Leon merely changed brands of pipe tobacco.

Louie just doesn’t trust anyone who mixes pink ties with red checks and blue pants. Even though Louie is colour blind, the patterns and creases jar his sense of decorum.
