I hope she’s got him trained now to come back when he’s called.
His collar broke at Baxter’s Beach last May, and he ran up and down the shore, scaring the birds.
She chased him for half an hour before she remembered she had a can of sardines in the car.
He always comes back for sardines.
But she’s been taking him to obedience and tap dance classes at the Ballard and Pine Senior Center…
cos she doesn’t want to have to carry open cans of sardines everyplace they go.
He’d gladly eat the whole can every time, so she wouldn’t have to..
but four cans a day is probably not healthy.
I was going to tell Margaret we can’t let him come any more for Swedish Smörgåsbord night at the Tiki… it’s the 3rd Friday of every month.
It’s hard to tell anyone they’re not invited… but honestly… he can eat his own weight and then some in sardines, gravlax, and pickled herring. Even some stinky lutefisk, too.
Oh, heck… I hate being harsh.
Maybe next time, if Margaret keeps him on his leash and watches him.
Due to Medical budget cutbacks, Ballard Street lost its Mental Health Facility… but they did put in a really dandy leash free running area which both Milton and Mildred adored! :>)

Hey! I feel that way sometimes, too!

Margaret, you have to go in as well so you can pick up after him. Pick up his clothes, I mean.

I think the area’s mislabeled. It oughta be called the “off your nut” area.

It’s actually good for Leonard to run around a bit. Margaret keeps him tied up at home.
Hey, you would too, he’s… you know…

Where else would Leonard be able to practice his dance moves for his performance in West Side Story.

Leonard has waited all day for this moment, when he can play with his friends unleashed.

This was disturbing to me at first, but then I remembered I am on Ballard Street. All is as it should be.

I’m so happy to be able to access “Ballard Street,” I look like I’m “off leash” every day!
