Looks like she raided @DennisinSeattle’s Fabric Emporium And Swaddling Outlet for just the right colors.

OMG! She said she wanted to borrow those rolls to see how they went with her wardrobe! I only asked for a $9.67 deposit! I am a trusting fool.

Well, the first four words are accurate.

It’s a nutty thing to do, but perhaps not the nuttiest.

Just don’t let her get near a manger! She’ll be gone forever!

Eustace is happy to oblige Eunice. And their dog Ephram will now anoint the pile of swaddling.

Eunice, and her frenemy from finishing school, Mable-Mae, have been in a sometimes not-so-friendly oneupmanship for several decades now over their winter scarves.

Every year they have been getting more colorful, more flamboyant, and longer.

It’s been fairly close most years. Sometimes Eunice has the liveliest, and Mable-Mae has the longest. Sometimes vice-versa. It’s usually been close. Usually.

Not this year.
