Let her pretend it’s a magnificent jungle. We know the truth.

Beats leaving a trail of bread crumbs. Damn birds.

Gloria also can’t find her way outta her bathroom. All those dried bread crumbs must feel icky on her bare feet.

I think this scene is from one of those Poltergeist movies.

Most people (More of “us”) could probably use a tether – at least a figurative tether.

I’d say Doug K has the essence of it. Gloria is one of those people who needs to feel tethered to one place. Most folks feel that way metaphorically, but Gloria always was a literalist.

The way the winds have been howling here lately, I would tie myself down to go outside too.

I think her tether is too short.

If it gets too crazy those garden shears might just cut her loose.

Pull her out before she takes root.

Gloria has memorized the path way.

Better than breadcrumbs…

Suddenly, Gloria hears the ominous beat of the jungle drums! Oh wait, that’s just Rusty’s tail on the garden bucket…

Somebody stop here – she has the scissors again!

Gloria’s a wise woman to use a tether. She tried bread crumbs but the ants kept moving them.

You don’t have to make a full-on Victorian Garden Maze to have a garden full of twisting pathways which make it feel more than twice its size. I hope to have such a garden someday.

It may seem unnecessary now, but that tether really helps when dandelion season starts.

Gloria may take root if she stays there much longer.

You know how it is when you are used to gardening in a blinding blizzard.
