Chester tried biting those dangling balls on Egbert’s pant legs a few times, but the ensuing falls always ended pulling too hard on his leash

A Ballard Street mystery: Why is it that every time Lester takes Chester out for a walk there is no one else on the street nor on the porches, but if you look real close you can see curtains and blinds moving?

Poor little Doggie, let’s take up a fund to buy him sun glasses so he can walk incognito.

Chester is a purist. Walks are supposed to be done walking – not hopping – or pirouetting.

If Chester doesn’t go on these walks, it only gets worse. And Chester does have to live with him. (He can’t live without him – he is his food source.)

It is better, however. The authorities have finally convinced Lester that clothes are not optional…

Chester is so embarrassed he doesn’t even leave his mark on the lamp posts to let the other dogs know he came by

During hunting season (Spring) my cat frequently indicates to me (by meaningful looks) that I am walking too loudly when she is studying potential prey. She likes walking with me but sometimes I can tell she is embarrassed, like having a unruly kitten along.

Chester just hopes that no one who knows him sees him on these walks.
