Phideaux is a French wine hound.
Will he test the steak next ?
The waiter is thinking I thought I would meet a better class of people in this job. But this is Ballard Street after all. sigh
The dog should know better than to put his hind feet/paws on the table.
The problem is that Phideaux will drink most of the bottle. Then expect to drive home.
Phideaux indicates his rating by his tail wags, and in this case he is very positive. Is it that flavor of rare beef that he finds so tasty? Or the organ meats?
Ah, a very good Châteauneuf-du-Pup.
So it appears…..aaaacckk!
Well, if the dog approves, it must be a decent vintage.
Fido will also be choosing the entre.
Phideaux tail indicates at least an eight out of a possible 10.

Big mistake, he can be a mean drunk. And since there’s no Rest Room with a dog icon, well…
Fido has tried other red wines, but they had to send them Malbec.
Good morning Balladeers!
Anyone heard anything from Susan Sunshine?
Phydeaux used to be a certified, well-respected sommelier but, alas, his tendency to overindulge in samples of the wine derailed his career.
Phideaux takes his job as wine taster very seriously. His tail gives the stamp of approval.
“Looks like we’ll be going with the Beef ‘n’ Bacon flavor Mad Dog 20/20 tonight!”
Do the concentric circles indicate the waiter’s name tag, the establishment’s logo…. or a tipsy halo for the wine bottle?
