I suppose if his D.O. is bad enough it could fit the Oxford English Dictionary’s “†2. To banish or expel, to drive out or away. Obs. c1100 Anglo-Saxon Chron. (MS. D.) ann. 1076, Sume hi wurdon geblende, & sume wrecen of lande.” Or not …

What amazes me about this comic strip is that anyone with brains at Go Comics would pay Corey Pandolph to rehash a comic that’s somewhere around 5 years? old. Don’t get me wrong, I dig Barkeater Lake. Those military squirrels are killer funny. But I’ve been pretty disgusted with Pandolph since he first decided to bail on the strip. He’s come back, penned up a few strips and left again a year or so ago. He started up a different area trip on the characters and quit on that too. The problem here is that Pandolph is a quitter. Plain and simple. He is not dedicated to putting this excellent story idea out there consistently. When Barkeater Lake was in the Sunday funny pages nationwide back a few years ago he was on his game. I was starting to think that he could actually get the strip to the TV/Cable live animation stage. If he had stayed with the strip as it was originally I don’t doubt at all that there would be a Barkeater Lake cartoon on something like Adult Swim. And that would be hilarious to watch. Bottom line, if Pandolph wants me as a dedicated fan he’s going to have to be a dedicated ink slinging cartoonist. Instead of a start again quit again drifter.
