Ever since I first saw Cynthia’s friend Katy she has reminded me of someone. I finally figured it out, she reminds me of Bonnie from the old National Lampoon strip “Trots & Bonnie.” Although Katy has a “much” higher standard of morals.
I can see the resemblance, particularly in the ears. As far as the morals go, well, Katy is still rather younger than Bonnie. Give her time (she and Cynthia are already making heroin jokes).
I’ve always thought Shary Flenniken was a great cartoonist, although I suspect a lot of those old “Trots & Bonnie” strips would fall afoul of the child pornography laws these days…
