Maybe I don’t understand how it works. Why would a customer of Campisi’s complain to the manufacturer of a product about the placement of that product at Campisi’s. Wouldn’t they complain to Campisi’s?
Placement on shelves in grocery and drug stores is defined by a number of factors including the amount of money the manufacturer pays for good placement. However, other things like brand recognition and popularity matter as well. I’d still complain to Campisi’s however. Maybe the customer did.
Most consumers don’t have a clue as to why a product is placed where it is in a retail store. As already indicated, there is a science to proper product placement, and unfortunately, it does have a lot to do with how much the retailer is bribed…
