Understood….I now work part time as a substitute teacher. Not being a teacher during my working years. The first week as a new sub I had to teach a sex education class to seventh and eighth graders…..Wow, was I ever out of my comfort zone.

I agree with Barney. I would want to see the dude pop out of the cake.

Bet he wouldn’t have the same problem if he were invited to the bachelorette party for a lesbian (except of course that all the other guests would likely be women).

Would each guy have his own bachelor party, or would they have a party together?

I’m gay, and I was out of my comfort zone at a gay bar. They are definitely a “different” experience. At the risk of sounding hypocritical, it was just too “gay” there. I went a few times in my late 20’s just to try to coax myself out of my shell and make some friends. It got really old really quick – every stereotype you think of when you think “gay” was present there, and I am the exact opposite of stereotypical. I went right back into my shell and have been there ever since (16 years now). I’m happy just playing around with my Mustang in my garage, or making something out of metal, or diddling with a woodworking project. With some Judas Priest or other 80’s cheese metal blaring at ear-blistering volume.

As for Barnard, he doesn’t seem to know the couple, so why would he be invited to a bachelor party? I don’t blame him for not wanting to go

I have gay friends who do not enjoy gay bars and straight friend who do not enjoy straight bars. And I don’t care whose bachelor party it is, I’m not going to enjoy it. (Did not have one for my own wedding).
