Well, if you’re living in the country with right-hand traffic, then going on the right up until lanes merge is actually the correct way to drive… otherwise you just increase traffic in the left lane and certainly won’t be faster than if driving correctly.
That is why everyone in the right lane should go all the way forward and get into the left lane at the merge point. If you merge early, that’s your decision to not use the rest of the road of the right lane.
Sorry Mr. Putt, but that doesn’t work. The reason that people move over well before the merge sign is that they merge when they get the chance. They know full well that if they stay in the right lane until the end, the asses on the left won’t let you in!
