    From a very young age I ate the whole apple, never hurt me. Lately I got to thinking about how the apple grows. It hangs from the tree by a stem. The stem sits in a cup, where it collects stuff. Rainwater, bird crap, and, most dangerous, insecticide. So today I don’t eat the skin around the stem.
