    I agree about lazy cartoonists, but usually I take it to mean Single-Panel Sunday Strips.

    Blandly obvious names are more common for pets in comics (e.g., Dawg in “Hi & Lois,” Kitty in “Sally Forth”), because they make it easier for new readers to understand who’s being talked about when offscreen.

    This comic strip is one of the laziest around. Look at the secretary in the first five panels. Nothing more than a cut and paste job. And then there are the inane ones with guy who tells unfunny, obtuse jokes which are used whenever they can’t come with an idea. This strip can’t hold a candle to Pearls Before Swine.
